so we're in alexandria, all right, and they say okay, don't be in alexandria anymore. be here. be in dc. so camera man paul starts up the truck. we head up king street, because that's the way you want to get to the gw parkway. alexandria city, they're doing a pretty good job down there. we talked to carl pfeifer, he said they had 60 trucks on the road, and we saw them every time we turned around we could see one of alexandria city's trucks. but then, then we get out to the gw parkway and i've got to tell you. from alexandria all the way up, and we got off the memorial bridge. nothing. we saw not one snow plow on the road. we saw a bunch of them lined up at reagan national airport. but it was one of those dig your fingernails into the wheel and try to hold on to make sure you don't make any mistakes all the way up. so all of these warnings and i know folks this sounds like a cliche when you hear it over and over again, but it's true. we were at one point thinking maybe this wasn't a great idea. maybe we should have stayed in old town. but you know what was good? dc. we got into
